Nothing To See Here Review

\

I received this book for free but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Phones and social media are always tricky, and anonymous accounts posting rumors only make things worse. After a user goes too far, Winnie, Gia, Mateo, and Levi create an experiment where they post fake gossip to show how things can get out of control.

Winnie was the most relatable to me, with friend drama and strict parents, with a passion to make things right. She was very kind and my favorite character,

Gia is very smart but wants everyone to see that’s not her whole personality, everyone talks about her but no one really knows her.

Mateo likes gia but online rumors are getting in the way of what he wants and he doesn’t want anyone uncomfortable.

Levi has a rough home life and is just along for the ride.

These four were amazing. . . quad? Quadlet (4 person group) and all balanced each other well. They gave grace for each other's mistakes and I would love to be part of their friend group. This book was a refreshing take on social media and like any Barbara Dee book brought serious issues to light.

If you like middle school stories, smart and sweet kids, stories about changing social norms, or Judy Blume books you will love this book!!
