These Violent Delights

⭐ ⭐- a decent amount of language, somewhat frequently
⭐- the romance aspect is pretty clean, closed door
15+ because it is pretty dark and kind of violent, I mainly skipped over the violent parts

ohmigoodness i loved this book so much! i recently read Romeo and Juliet for school and it was so much fun to draw all the parallels. this book is a little hard to follow at first but the romance is *perfect* and the enemies-to-lovers aspect of it is amazing. i first got this book recommended to me from a podcast (big shout-out to hook of a book) and heard the premise (which is a little weird). the main part is that a virus is sweeping through the city that makes people tear out their own throats which- wow, that got dark fast. as expected, the book was a little dark and creepy, but not too much to handle. as soon as i finished it, i knew i needed the next one in the series, which i promptly devoured and then the spin-off series. this book has so many twists and turns and ends on a cliffhanger-at the same time, my absolute favorite way to end a book, on the other WHAT THE HECK I NEEDED TO READ THE NEXT BOOK IMMEDIATELY. it is pretty clean for a YA book, some cussing and the smallest sprinkling of spice. if you are on the border about reading this book PICK IT UP AND READ IT IT'S SO GOOD!
closing notes - I want to be best friends with Alisa (ifykyk)
