I don’t know if she was meant to be comic relief, but she kind of was. She played the part of little sister perfectly and was tough and strong in her own regard. She deserved so much more than what she got (iykyk)
☆⛤♥⭑the magic⭑♥⛤☆
The magic felt real and was unlike any type of magic I have seen before in books. I really appreciated the glossary in the beginning explaining all the types of magic and such and definitely went back to it a couple times. The levels confused me a little, (how do you level up, are you born with it?) but I figured it out and might have just missed where they explained it (kindle problems: the accidental double swipe)
☆⛤♥⭑action/fighting scenes⭑♥⛤☆
The fighting scenes felt a little off to me, but that could have been me. It just didn’t feel real or like I could understand what was happening
☆⛤♥⭑the romance⭑♥⛤☆
Perfect. No problems with it, just a wish that I could be Sal. The author did a good job writing Ender very hot and attractive. He might not be on the top of my book boyfriend list, but he’s definitely there.
☆⛤♥⭑the school⭑♥⛤☆
I want to go there immediately. The headmaster was interesting, all the roommates sounding intriguing (Sydney especially, and April) and it just sounded amazing!
☆⛤♥⭑the ending⭑♥⛤☆
I WANT ANOTHER BOOK IMMEDIATELY. Perfect cliffhanger, and leaves Sal’s world open for more stories.

The title is so intriguing and half of the reason I wanted to read it. I loved how it tied in all the basis and rules about magic, in just that title.
In summary,
If you are looking for a dark academia book (I have been reading a lot of those lately), a book with magic unlike others, a romance, and awesome characters, read this book!

Gorgeous name, absolutely love the name. She was strong and tough. I loved whenever she used her magic and was excited to see what else she could do with it.
